The Kerala Monsoon Bumper Lottery 2025 has crowned a lucky winner from Kannur, but while the first prize announced was Rs. 10 crore, the actual post-tax amount credited could be much lower. Here's a detailed look at how much the winner will really take home and what claimants need to know.

According to reports from Malayalam media outlets, after agent commissions and additional surcharges, the final credited amount to the winner may be as low as Rs. 5.16 crore.
This is due to a 10% commission paid to the lottery agent and additional handling charges or statutory deductions. It should be noted that no exemptions or deductions are allowed under tax law for lottery income, so No tax-saving benefits
