The Ladki Bahin Yojana insalment is yet to be released for the month of November. According to media reports, the local body elections are currently underway in the state, and the results will be announced on December 21. The government officials are cautious regarding the announcement and the transfer of payments due to the election code of conduct, reported India TV citing government officials. In a separate incident linked to Ladki Bahin Yojana, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis warned both ruling and opposition legislators for repeated mentions of the women beneficiary scheme over irrelevant issues, reported Indian Express on Tuesday.
