The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has stepped forward to provide relief to the affected policyholders. Understanding the challenges faced by the victims, LIC has announced special relaxations and provisions to ease the financial burden during these trying times.
Following an Irdai directive, LIC announced concessions on Saturday to alleviate the burdens of policy claimants and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana beneficiaries affected by Cyclone Biparjoy.

In a statement, LIC said it is reaching out to affected people to provide help, despite the fact that the number of deaths has been kept to a minimum.
Nodal officers have been appointed at the Divisional level to coordinate with the State Government's Chief/Secretary/Officer in charge.
LIC has also set up a portal connection for online claim submissions related to the Biparjoy Cyclone.
'Bijarjoy' made landfall on the coast of Kutch on Thursday night with gusts of 115-125 km/h, causing damage to property and infrastructure in the cyclone-affected states.
LIC has announced numerous relaxations for the claim payment process for the victims of the Balasore train tragedy, shortly after the Odisha train accident. The collision involved two passenger trains and a halted cargo train.
The Corporation had established a particular help desk and a contact centre number at the divisional and branch levels to react to claim-related inquiries and assist claimants.
