LIC Launches Mobile App Pragati For Real-time Data
Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), the public insurance corporation in India has launched a mobile app named PRAGATI, which will be used by the corporation's development officers. This app will be a performance review application, growth, and trend indicator. The new app, Pragati will provide information that will be updated in near real-time about the performance of their agency force in critical areas of business performance like premium collection, and agency activation, prospective MDRT, apart from monitoring team on activities like usage of agent mobile app and NACH validations. LIC chairperson MR Kumar launched the Pragati app in presence of the MDs - Mukesh Gupta, Raj Kumar, Siddhartha Mohanty, and Mini Ipe.
The present day's digital growth has obliged every official, agent ad customer to depend on the virtual world, rather than physical communication, which is more time-consuming. Showing real-time data will also help the corporation with its marketing angle. Earlier, LIC had launched the Ananda mobile app for helping digital paperless solutions, gaining popularity among the agents. During the pandemic when many activities were stalled due to lockdown, the insurance sector did not lose its ground largely. But both the agents and customers faced challenges because of restricted movements. Officials too had problems in delivering information to others. This new Pragati app will mitigate this problem and will ease the business in the future.
For calculating LIC's plans and offers, there is one app named 'All in one CALC', which helps the LIC agents and customers a lot to understand the policy benefits well. The AI-based 'Jeevan Shaakshya' app, on the other hand, helps retired employees and annuitants to submit life certificates from anywhere.
