LPG, CNG, PNG Prices Today, 22 October 2026: Gas Cylinder Prices Hiked Today? Rates In Delhi, Chennai, More

LPG, CNG, and PNG prices in India are in focus on Thursday, October 22, 2026, due to rising crude oil prices. Now, the oil price is nearing $111 per barrel, which is expected to impact petroleum products that we use in our day-to-day lives. Commercial LPG prices are more prone to take the brunt of elevated crude oil prices in comparison to domestic LPG cylinders. Meanwhile, CNG prices are hiked in some cities this month, while PNG prices are broadly unchanged across major metro cities.

LPG Prices Today, October 22, 2026:

The domestic LPG cylinder is cheapest in Noida at Rs 939.50, followed by Mumbai and Delhi at Rs 941.50 and Rs 942 per cylinder. In Kolkata, LPG is Rs 968, and in Chennai, at Rs 957.50. In other southern cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram, 14.2 Kg LPG is being sold at Rs 994, Rs 944.50 and Rs 951 per cylinder. However, LPG is most expensive in Patna at Rs 1,031.50 per cylinder.

Commercial LPG cylinders, which are usually in 19 kg or above variants, recorded a sharp hike in October 2026. Since then, the new LPG rate of 19 Kg cylinder is at Rs 2,810 in Delhi, at Rs 2,954 in Kolkata, at Rs 2,764.50 in Mumbai and at Rs 2,983 in Chennai. In Bangalore and Lucknow, LPG is priced at Rs 2,898 and Rs 2,932.50, respectively.

Commercial LPG prices are more impacted by the international crude oil prices. An explainer of Oil Ministry highlighted that the commercial LPGs used by hotels and businesses are revised automatically every month because the price is a direct pass-through of the international benchmark. The domestic LPG cylinders are not.

India imports approximately 60% of its LPG needs, and the landed cost of this import is based on the Saudi Contract Price (CP) that Saudi Aramco sets at the start of each month. Hence, an external international price heavily impacts. This is why the oil marketing companies (OMCs) hiked commercial LPG prices for two consecutive months from September to October but kept domestic LPG prices unchanged since June 7, 2026, despite the global oil and gas supply disruption.

At present, crude oil prices have reached near $111 per barrel, adding further pressure to LPG prices for the upcoming month. The latest reason for elevation in crude oil prices is the drone attack on Saudi Aramco's Shaybah oil field.

Meanwhile, Trading Economics report highlighted that the US has also ordered some personnel and family members to leave American embassies in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Ukraine launched large-scale drone attacks on Russia this week, targeting critical oil infrastructure and signaling Kyiv's intention to prevent Moscow from expanding diesel exports under an agreement between Presidents Trump and Putin. However, further gains in oil prices may be constrained by rising crude shipments from the Middle East, with export flows nearing prewar levels. Saudi Arabia's crude exports increased by 7.9% in August, reaching their highest level since March. Russia is also expected to deliver its first diesel shipment to the US on Thursday.

Thereby, the geopolitical risks in the Middle East have kept the energy crisis on high alert and LPG prices at risk.
