On 1 January, in the monthly revision of LPG cylinder prices, rates were left unchanged for 14.2 kg cylinders at existing levels, following two hikes (of Rs 100 altogether) in the previous month. However, commercial customers will have to pay an additional Rs 17 per cylinder.

As per Indian Oil Corporation's website, the price of non-subsidised 14.2 kg LPG cylinder remained at Rs 694 each in Delhi and Mumbai, Rs 720.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 710 in Chennai.
As for commercial 19 kg LPG cylinders, rates have been hiked to Rs 1,349 in Delhi, Rs 1,410 in Kolkata, Rs 1,297.50 in Kolkata and Rs 1,463.50 in Chennai, with effect from 1 January 2020.
Non-subsidised rates of LPG cylinders are reviewed on a monthly basis, however, in December, rates were hiked twice rather than once, by Rs 50 each time. Rates vary in different parts of the country due to local taxes.
