The supplier of LPG cylinders is getting disrupted in some of the Indian cities amid lockdown as consumers have been resorting to panic buying. This is even when the companies have adhered to 'one cylinder in 15 days' policy.

"This is creating a problem in systematic and timely home delivery of the refills. The matter has already been brought to the notice of the district authorities and help for the same has been sought by Indian Oil wherever required," IOC said.
So, to continue with the seamless of LPG refills, the distributors have asked for security from the district administrations to be provided yet again which was withdrawn after some relaxations were provided from April 20.
Also, there has found instances wherein people without booking are asking for the refills while delivery vehicles carry them for home delivery.
The issue has been faced in the north eastern region and was earlier reported from Punjab.
"It has been observed that many customers are crowding LPG distributorships for LPG refills out of panic following spread of rumours. Many customers are even demanding LPG refills without bookings and are coming down to collect cylinders from the godown," it said.
Also, on the rumours the company clarified that as and when the supply order is placed, it takes a day or two in cylinders to reach the dealers place from bottling facilities.
