LPG Price Increased: Price Of Commercial LPG Cylinder Hiked; Check New Rates In Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai Here

Prices of commercial LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders have been raised by more than Rs 100 in several cities across the country with immediate effect. State-owned Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) raised the rate of commercial LPG cylinders on Wednesday.

The retail prices of 19-kilogram LPG cylinders are revised by up to Rs 101.5 in the four metros effective from November 1, 2023.

State OMCs in India include Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation. This is the second time in the last two months that the commercial LPG cylinder prices have been hiked.

The prices of both commercial as well as domestic LPG cylinders undergo monthly changes on the first day of every month.

LPG Cylinder Cost In Different Indian Cities:

With today's revision in LPG Cylinder prices, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will now be available at Rs 1,833 in Delhi. Earlier, the cost of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in the national capital was Rs 1,731. In Mumbai, a commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,785.50.

Meanwhile, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Kolkata is now Rs 1,943 per cylinder, while the same quantity of LPG cylinder in Chennai costs Rs 1,999.50 per cylinder.

Last month, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were Rs 1,684 in Mumbai, Rs 1,839.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,898 in Chennai following a hike of Rs 209 by oil companies in October.

However, the price of domestic LPG, used in household kitchens for cooking purposes, remained unchanged at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi.

In Kolkata, 14 kg cylinder currently costs Rs 929. The rate of domestic LPG cylinder in Mumbai is Rs 902.5 while in Chennai, domestic gas cylinder is retailing for Rs 918.5.
