On the first day itself of the new month, LPG consumers are in for despair as the prices have been increased. For the domestic cylinders, the prices have been raised by Rs. 25 per cylinder. Likewise, on the surge, here are the new LPG cylinder rates in metro cities:

It is to be noticed that at the start of the year LPG prices were at Rs. 694 per cylinder. Commerical cylinder rates have also been hiked by Rs. 75 and with it in Delhi the price of 19 kg cylinder is now at Rs. 1693.
Earlier prices were revised in the mid of August month.
Based on the international benchmark rate of LPG as well as the US dollar and rupee exchange rate, LPG cylinder rates are revised by oil marketing companies at the beginning of every month.
