Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Rise From October 1

Oil marketing companies revised commercial LPG cylinder prices upward on October 1, increasing the cost of a 19-kg cylinder across major cities. The increase ranged from Rs. 62.50 in Delhi to Rs. 70 in Kolkata.

Following the revision, commercial LPG prices rose to Rs. 2,810 in Delhi, Rs. 2,764.50 in Mumbai and Rs. 2,898 in Bengaluru. Chennai's commercial cylinder rate reached Rs. 2,983, while Kolkata's price increased to Rs. 2,954. In Hyderabad, a 19-kg commercial cylinder now costs Rs. 3,065.

The increase comes at a time when restaurants, hotels, caterers and cloud kitchens continue to manage fluctuating operating expenses. Commercial LPG is an essential input for these businesses, and repeated price increases can squeeze margins, especially for establishments that cannot immediately pass higher costs on to customers.

Domestic consumers, however, have received some relief, as the October revision did not affect the price of the standard 14.2-kg household cylinder.

Any other ups or downs in LPG prices will be seen next on November 1st when the oil marketing companies announced the monthly LPG price update.
