LPG Prices Cut: 19 Kg Cheaper By Rs 19 Per Cylinder From May 1; Check New City-Wise Rates

Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have slashed the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders across major metro cities in India by Rs 19 per cylinder. Effective from May 1, the reduction in prices comes amidst ongoing elections and global oil market dynamics.

In the national capital, Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been decreased by Rs 19, bringing it down to Rs 1,745.50 from the previous Rs 1,764.50. Similarly, Mumbai witnessed a Rs 19 reduction, setting the new price at Rs 1,698.50. However, in Chennai, the price currently stands at Rs 1,911, and in Kolkata, it is Rs 1,859 after a Rs 19 cut.

This adjustment in prices mirrors the recent downtrend in global oil prices, which have seen a consecutive decline for the third day. Factors contributing to this decline include a surge in crude inventories in the United States and growing optimism surrounding a potential ceasefire agreement in the volatile Middle East region.

The reduction in commercial LPG prices not only eases the financial burden on businesses relying on these cylinders but also brings relief to households and small-scale enterprises. OMCs have assured that they will continue to monitor global oil market trends closely and make necessary adjustments to ensure fair pricing for consumers across the country.
