Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Declares Commitment to Lead India's Wellness Mission at Summit

Madhya Pradesh is positioning itself as a global hub for holistic lifestyle and wellness innovation, according to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Speaking at the Spiritual and Wellness Summit, Yadav highlighted the state's readiness to lead India's wellness mission, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiatives like Heal India and Life Style LiFE. Investment proposals exceeding Rs 1950 crore were received during the summit.

Madhya Pradesh Leads Indias Wellness Mission

Yadav emphasised that Madhya Pradesh is set to become a key player in India's wellness mission. The summit served as a platform for policy, investment, spirituality, and social welfare to converge. The state is now prepared to drive India's wellness agenda forward, he stated. During the event, Yadav engaged in 13 one-on-one meetings with investors from the wellness and hospitality sectors.

Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh

The Chief Minister noted that the state offers stability and success for investors through clear policies, competent administration, and strong leadership. He encouraged wellness entrepreneurs and institutions to invest in Madhya Pradesh, particularly starting from Ujjain. "Come to Madhya Pradesh, and become a partner in the journey to make India a world leader," he urged.

At the summit, an agreement was signed between NIPR Ahmedabad and MPIDC. This agreement will provide technical and educational support for the development of Ujjain Medical Device Park as a testing and certification hub. Investment proposals came from notable figures such as Shivender Singh of Era Hospitality and Mukund Prasad of Leisure Hotels Group.

Sectoral Summits and Initiatives

Yadav highlighted past events like the Regional Industry Conclave and Global Investors Summit, which attracted investment proposals worth over Rs 30 lakh crore under PM Modi's guidance. Declaring 2025 as Industry Year, sector-specific summits are being organised continuously. Successful events include the Agri Summit in Mandsaur and Narsinghpur, along with the IT Summit in Indore.

The NITI Aayog recognises Madhya Pradesh as a leader among rapidly growing states. The state's surplus electricity, excellent infrastructure, and new policies have attracted investors. Yadav mentioned that his government is working on creating employment opportunities across various sectors.

Spiritual and Environmental Initiatives

Yadav pointed out that World Environment Day coincided with Ganga Dussehra this year. On this occasion, the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign was relaunched in Madhya Pradesh, aiming to plant 5 crore saplings. The initiative reflects the state's commitment to environmental sustainability alongside its wellness goals.

Swami Chidanand Saraswati from Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh delivered a spiritual address at the summit. He also handed over a letter of intent to establish a centre in Ujjain. Two panel sessions discussed topics like wellness infrastructure, Simhastha-based medical tourism, employment generation, and skill development.

The summit concluded with a presentation on Madhya Pradesh's overall roadmap for its wellness visioning. This comprehensive plan outlines how the state intends to achieve its ambitious goals in the wellness sector.
