Mumbai, January 17: Mahindra Aerostructures, a leading Indian aerospace company, has secured a significant manufacturing and supply contract with Airbus Aerostructures GmbH, a subsidiary of the European aviation giant Airbus. Under this new agreement, Mahindra Aerostructures will provide approximately 5,000 different types of metallic components to Airbus in Germany.
Expanding Relationship and Supporting Make in India
The latest award from Airbus Aerostructures GmbH encompasses all Airbus commercial aircraft models, including the popular A320 family of aircraft. This contract further strengthens the existing partnership between Mahindra Aerostructures and Airbus, with the Indian company already supplying parts directly to Airbus facilities in Toulouse, France.
Commenting on the new contract, Vinod Sahay, President of Aerospace & Defence and CPO of Auto & Farm Sectors at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about expanding the relationship with Airbus Aerostructures GmbH and contributing to the Indian government's Make in India initiative. He emphasized the company's commitment to delivering on its commitments and fostering collaborative growth.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, Mahindra Aerostructures has been a direct supplier to Airbus Group since 2015. The company has collaborated with Airbus on various initiatives and has consistently demonstrated its capabilities in the aerospace industry.

Mahindra Aerostructures operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant near Bengaluru, spanning an area of 2,50,000 square feet. The facility is equipped with advanced capabilities for sheet metal and machined parts, welding, finishing, and assembly, enabling the company to meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry.
With this new contract, Mahindra Aerostructures reinforces its position as a key player in the global aerospace supply chain and demonstrates its commitment to delivering high-quality components to Airbus.
