Malpani Pipes Announces Rs 3 8 Cr Expansion Plan Post Recent D-Street Debut

In terms of the new investments, 3.8 crores were set aside to place machinery to enhance overall production capabilities. This modification to the business strategy also includes the implementation of a new extrusion line to the existing production line that processes and assembles PVC piping, which will improve operational efficiency by 1800 Metric Tone Per Annum. In addition to the lines that produce HDPE and MDPE Pipes, there is now a new limit to the production threshold of the company of 3600 MTPA. In striving to achieve more precision, automation, and consistency, the company will now operate with the added components of a socketing machine. The changes also introduced a horizontal heating-cooling mixer that is fully automated. Meeting these expectations will also provide superior quality products, improve efficiency in operations, and increase Missani Pipes' market share.

This expansion covers the introduction of a new product line, PVC pipes, produced for uses in plumbing, sewage and drainage systems, drinking water systems, irrigation, chemicals, exhaust ventilation, recreation, and much more. These pipes, which will augment the existing product range and fulfill the needs of numerous industries, will be produced with an initial capacity of 1,800 MTPA.

While commenting on the impact of this expansion, Malpani Pipes and Fittings Limited Managing Director, Rohit Malpani, pointed out that the new PVC pipes would be sold through the same channels that the company sells its sprinkler and drip pipes; thus additional marketing efforts would not be required. There is an expectation of increased sales of HDPE pipes because of the ability to ship both HDPE and PVC pipes in one container. The company expects total sales would increase by Rs. 40-45 crores, and with the addition of PVC pipes into the product mix, an additional Rs. 15 crores are expected from revenue.
