Manipal Hospitals Integrates AMRI Bhubaneswar, Elevating Healthcare in East India

Manipal Hospitals has officially announced the successful brand integration of the 400-bed AMRI hospital in Bhubaneswar, a move that took place in September 2023. This strategic acquisition marks a pivotal moment in the healthcare landscape of East India, with services at the Bhubaneswar facility set to align with Manipal Hospitals' esteemed standards starting May 22. Partha Das, the Chief People Officer of Manipal Hospitals, highlighted this integration as a significant step towards transforming healthcare excellence in the region.

Saktimaya Mohapatra, Director of Bhubaneswar Hospital, expressed optimism about the integration's impact on healthcare delivery in Odisha. The incorporation of Manipal Hospitals' service excellence is expected to establish new standards in patient care and satisfaction. This initiative is part of Manipal Hospitals' commitment to providing advanced and compassionate healthcare solutions to the communities it serves.

The new management at the Bhubaneswar unit is set to upgrade the facility from a tertiary to a quaternary care hospital. Plans include the introduction of comprehensive cancer care services and the establishment of a fully operational liver transplant clinic. Additionally, a state-of-the-art second catheterization laboratory is also on the agenda, further enhancing the hospital's capabilities.

With the acquisition of an 84 per cent stake in AMRI Hospitals Ltd, Manipal Hospitals has expanded its administrative control to include three hospitals in Kolkata and one in Bhubaneswar. This expansion not only strengthens Manipal Hospitals' presence in Eastern India but also reinforces its commitment to elevating healthcare standards across the region.
