Markets End Lower Ahead Of Q2GDP Data; Realty, Broader Market Space Outperforms
Indices towards the end of the session on the first day of December series was trading flat ahead of the Q2 September GDP data due to be released later today. Broader indices gained well up over 2.83 percent on Nifty Midcap 100. Nifty Realty and Auto have been the biggest gainer. Nifty ended below 13000 at 12968, while Sensex lost over 110 points to 44150
Midcap stocks buzzing in trade have been Varun Beverages, Cholamandlam, Dhani Services, AB Capital and AGL.
In the realty pack, leading the stocks have been Godrej Properties, Phoenix Mills, DLF, Oberoi Realty and Indiabulls Real Estate.
Also, PSB banks also gained in the afternoon trade by as much as 5%.
On Monday, equity and forex markets will remain shut owing to Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti.
Meanwhile, European indices were trading mixed, with losses on the FTSE. Also, US stock futures have been trading positive, indicating positive start for US indices' after Thursday's Thanksgiving Holiday break.
