Maruti Suzuki Increases Prices On Select Models Effective 28 Jan
India's leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday has announced a cut in prices on select models due to increase in input costs. The price increase is to the tune of 4.7% (ex showroom- Delhi) and will come into effect from 28 January. So, post the hike, prices of some of Maruti cars inch higher by as much as Rs. 10000.

Entry level cars such as Alto, S-Presso, and WagonR prices have gone up by Rs 9,000-6,000, Rs 1,500-8,000, and Rs 1,500-4,000, respectively.
Prices in the multi-purpose category has also been hiked. For instance, Ertiga has seen a price rise of between Rs. 4000 and Rs. 10000, Baleno by Rs. 3000- Rs. 8000 and XL6 by up to Rs. 5000 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
