Maruti Suzuki Set To Hike Cars Prices Due To Surging Cost Pressure

Maruti Suzuki India issued a BSE filing today (November 27, 2023) saying it has planned to hike prices of its cars beginning from January, 2024 due to increased cost pressure driven by overall inflation and increased commodity prices. Last trading price of Maruti Suzuki India share price BSE is Rs 10,518.10 apiece with intraday gain of 0.23% as on November 24, 2023. Maruti Suzuki India To Increase Prices Of Its Cars: According to the BSE filing of the company issued on November 27, 2023, "The Company has planned to increase the prices of its cars in January, 2024 on account of increased cost pressure driven by overall inflation and increased commodity prices. While the Company makes maximum efforts to reduce cost and offset the increase, it may have to pass on some increase to the market."

Maruti Suzuki has not disclosed the scale of the price hike but has announced that it would vary across its model. Earlier this year on April 1, Maruti Suzuki increased the prices of its cars by 0.8% across the model range.
