Maruti To Hike Prices Across Models From January 2021
The country's leading four wheeler manufacturer with effect from January is all set to hike prices across models to make up for the rise in input cost. "Hence, it has become imperative for the company to pass on some impact of the above additional cost to customers through a price increase in January 2021. This price increase shall vary for different models," the biggest automaker of the country added.
At present the low-range model of the company Alto is priced for Rs. 2.95 while its multi-purpose vehicle XL6 is priced for Rs. 11.52 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Previously, the company's chairman said there is expected a pick in sales in the month of December owing to pending orders as well as on the back of "rate of enquiries has sustained even after the festive season."
"2020 hasn't been a good year. We lost the first quarter so I definitely expect 2021 to be much better than 2020."
Additionally to boost sales, the company has also unveiled an end to end real time car financing facility for Nexa customers in 30 cities.
