In a bid to attract overseas buyers and expand the global reach of domestic industries, India will organize a series of mega fairs and exhibitions in sectors such as food, textiles, and auto. These events aim to bring international participants together and provide a platform for domestic exhibitors to showcase their products and connect with global buyers.

In a bid to attract overseas buyers and expand the global footprint of domestic industries, India is set to organize a series of mega fairs and exhibitions in 2024. The events will cover various sectors, including food, textiles, and automobiles, providing a platform for domestic exhibitors to showcase their products and interact with international buyers.
Promoting Global Exposure for Domestic Industries
Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) Santosh Kumar Saranagi highlighted the need to increase the participation of domestic exhibitors in international events. Recognizing that only a limited number of Indian companies venture abroad for such exhibitions, the government aims to organize mega events that attract overseas buyers and offer domestic exhibitors the opportunity to expand their global reach.
Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024: Showcasing the Future of Mobility
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, scheduled from February 1-3, will bring together the entire mobility value chain under one roof. International participants from 47 major countries are expected to attend the event, which will focus on electric vehicles, drones, batteries, charging stations, and information technology initiatives in various alternative fuel technologies.
Bharat Tex 2024: A Textile Extravaganza
From February 26-29, Bharat Tex 2024 will showcase the textile industry's prowess. Spread across an impressive 2 lakh square meters, the exhibition is expected to attract over 3,000 foreign buyers and 40,000 domestic buyers. The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) is actively organizing roadshows to encourage participation from the Indian textile industry.
Indus Food: A Culinary Showcase
The food sector will take center stage at Indus Food, scheduled from January 8-10. Over 2,500 foreign buyers and 5,000 domestic buyers are anticipated to attend the event, providing a platform for Indian food businesses to showcase their products and explore export opportunities.
India's initiative to host mega fairs and exhibitions in 2024 demonstrates the government's commitment to promoting global trade and enhancing the competitiveness of domestic industries. These events will provide a much-needed boost to sectors such as food, textiles, and automobiles, facilitating increased exports and fostering economic growth.
