Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to Launch NITI Aayog’s ‘NITI For States’ Platform

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is poised to unveil NITI Aayog's groundbreaking 'NITI For States' platform on Wednesday.

This cross-sectoral knowledge platform, designed to evolve into a digital public infrastructure (DPI) for policy and good governance, represents a significant leap towards modernising governance practices in India.

Speaking ahead of the launch event scheduled for tomorrow morning at the prestigious Rang Bhawan auditorium, Akashvani, New Delhi, Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the platform's transformative potential, stating, "The 'NITI For States' platform is a pivotal step towards harnessing technology to drive inclusive and effective governance practices."

The platform boasts an extensive repository comprising 7,500 Best Practices, 5,000 Policy documents, 900+ datasets, 1,400 data profiles, and 350 NITI publications, spanning across 10 critical sectors. From Agriculture to Urban development, the platform offers a wealth of knowledge products tailored to address diverse governance challenges.

"The 'NITI For States' platform is not merely a database but a dynamic tool for policymakers and officials to access contextually relevant insights and make informed decisions" Minister Ashwini added.

One of the platform's standout features is its intuitive and user-friendly interface, accessible through multiple devices including mobile phones. This accessibility ensures that government officials at all levels can leverage the platform's resources to enhance the quality of their decision-making processes.

In addition to the platform launch, Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate the 'Viksit Bharat Strategy Room' at NITI Aayog. This interactive space is designed to facilitate immersive visualization and engagement with insights, information, and knowledge, empowering stakeholders to make holistic assessments and drive impactful decisions.

"This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in governance. The room's advanced capabilities, including voice-enabled AI and video conferencing, will enable stakeholders to engage seamlessly and address complex challenges" Minister said in a statement.

Various government organizations have collaborated in this initiative, demonstrating a unified approach towards leveraging technology for governance. From iGOT Karmayogi's online training modules to National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP) providing access to government datasets, the collaborative effort ensures the platform's comprehensive coverage and usability.

Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw concluded by expressing optimism about the platform's impact, stating, "The 'NITI For States' platform heralds a new era of digital governance in India. By equipping officials with actionable knowledge and insights, we aim to drive sustainable development and inclusive growth across states and union territories."
