Modi Government Sets Stage for India as World's Third Largest Economy

Union Minister Piyush Goyal, in a recent address to a large gathering of traders, highlighted the achievements and future prospects of India under the Modi government. He emphasized that the administration has delivered a corruption-free regime over the past decade and projected that India is on track to become the world's third-largest economy in the coming years.

India Eyes Economic Leap

Goyal attributed this optimistic outlook to the country's robust economic growth and the implementation of various measures aimed at promoting further development. He confidently stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India is poised to ascend to global prominence.

The Minister underscored the efficient use of taxpayer money for public welfare and infrastructure development, noting significant investments in the infrastructure sector, particularly in Mumbai. Projects like metro lines, coastal roads, trans-harbour links, and Atal Setu were cited as examples of this growth.

Furthermore, Goyal praised the entrepreneurial spirit of India's youth and the burgeoning startup ecosystem as critical drivers of the country's economic expansion. He also made a personal appeal to the constituents of Mumbai North, urging them to vote and contribute to transforming North Mumbai into 'Uttam Mumbai'.

The venue for Goyal's speech was moved outdoors due to the large turnout, indicating substantial public interest. This gathering comes at a time when India's economy is forecasted to grow by over 7% for the third consecutive year in 2023-24, reinforcing Goyal's message of progress and optimism for India's future.
