Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister to Inaugurate IATO Convention for Tourism Boost

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the annual convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) on Friday. This event aims to increase foreign tourist visits to the state, as stated by officials. The 39th annual convention, spanning three days, will focus on the theme "Resurgent India Inbound."

Tourism Promotion in Madhya Pradesh

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department plans to highlight the state as a clean, green, and safe destination during the conference. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Madhya Pradesh Culture and Tourism Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi will join Yadav at the event.

IATO President Rajiv Mehta mentioned that over 1,200 participants, including tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers, and tourism sector representatives from across India, will attend. He shared this information with reporters on the eve of the significant event.

IATO's Role in Boosting Tourism

IATO, established in 1982, is a national body representing inbound tourism with more than 1,900 members from various sectors of the tourism industry. The association plays a crucial role in attracting international travellers to India and organising their tours.

Officials believe that this convention will enhance foreign tourist arrivals in Madhya Pradesh. They recalled how their previous convention in Aurangabad significantly boosted international holidaymakers' visits there.

The event's theme, "Resurgent India Inbound," reflects the focus on revitalising India's inbound tourism sector. The convention aims to showcase Madhya Pradesh's potential as a prime tourist destination to a broader audience.

The gathering is expected to foster discussions and collaborations among industry stakeholders to further develop tourism infrastructure and services in the state. This initiative aligns with efforts to position Madhya Pradesh as a top choice for international tourists seeking unique experiences.
