As per the regulatory filing to the exchanges on Thursday, Mukesh Ambani as part of the RIL rights issue has been allotted 5.52 lakh shares of the company. And now, the billionaire holds 0.12% or 80.52 lakh shares as against the earlier share ownership of 75 lakh shares.
On similar lines, Mukesh Ambani's family members who also subscribed to the offer have been allocated 5.52 lakh shares each for Nita Ambani, Isha, Akash and Anant.
Overall the promoter group from the rights issue offer have been allotted 22.50 crore shares, increasing their shareholding to 50.29%. Further as per the filing, public shareholding in the firm has gone down to 49.71% as against the earlier 49.93%.
Public shareholders got 19.74 crore shares.
LIC's stake in the company also increased to 6% of the company's total equity or 37.18 crore share
While announcing its results, the company announced fund raising plan via the rights issue which was the first by the company in 3 decades. One share was offered for every 15 shares held at Rs 1,257, a 14 per cent discount to the closing price for April 30.
The issue was over-subscribed 1.6 times, cumulating to an overall commitment of over Rs 84,000 crore.
