Mumbai Weather Alert: Weather in Mumbai is likely to turn pleasant over the weekend, as the Maharashtra capital and neighbouring districts are slated to experience an uptick in rainfall activity, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather forecasting agency has issued a yellow alert for the metro city.
Mumbai weather remained humid with minimal rainfall during the last one week. The city experienced light rain activity on Saturday morning, and the weather is likely to remain pleasant over the weekend and in the coming days.

Mumbai Weather Today
Mumbai weather today is likely to remain cloudy with moderate rainfall on Saturday, July 19. The minimum and maximum temperatures in the city are likely to remain close to 32 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Mumbai Weather Prediction For Coming Weeks
The weather forecasting agency has predicted a decline in temperature and rainfall in Mumbai in the coming weeks. The city recorded more than 30 mm of rainfall within two hours, bringing back familiar monsoon disruptions for commuters and weekend travellers.
The IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall in Mumbai and nearby districts for the next three to four days.
IMD Issues Yellow Alert For Mumbai
As multiple Maharashtra districts may see rainfall on Saturday, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and neighbouring Thane, reported Times of India. A yellow alert generally asks authorities and citizens to stay updated and exercise caution, rather than indicating an extreme weather emergency. However, a short duration of heavy rainfall can cause huge disruption in metro cities like Mumbai. They can impact traffic movement, suburban train access roads, low-lying areas and last-mile travel.
This makes evening alerts especially relevant for office-goers, shoppers and people attending events over the weekend.
Mumbai Weather Prediction For Next Week
Mumbai weather is likely to remain humid with short episodes of rainfall. As per the IMD local weather report based on Mumbai-Colaba weather station, maximum temperature is likely to decline to 31 degrees Celsius and remain near the mark till July 25. Likewise, the minimum temperature is likely to decline and remain close to 26 degrees Celsius till July 25. The weather is likely to remain generally cloudy with moderate rainfall.
