Mutual Fund Total SIP Accounts Stood At Rs 6.28 Crore At End Of February
In monthly data release from Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), the SIP accounts stood at Rs 6.28 crore.
The SIP contribution for the month of February 2023 was Rs 13,686 crore it was down from January 2023 contribution of Rs 13,856 crore. Over a year the SIP contributions have grown by 19.65% and in 6 years it has grown by 237.93%. Total SIP contributions combined over the years has grown to Rs 1,41,696 crore.

For the month of February the number of new SIP registrations were 20.65, with a SIP asset under management of Rs 6,74,415 crore. The average assets under management (AAUM) of Indian Mutual Fund Industry for the month of February 2023 stood at Rs 40,68,800 crore and assets under management (AUM) were at Rs 39,46,257 crore.
The AUM has grown from ₹ 8.14 trillion as on February 28, 2013 to Rs 39.46 trillion as on February 28, 2023 around 5 fold increase in a span of 10 years. In span of 5 years it has increased 2 fold.
According to AMFI the total number of folios as on February 28, 2023 stood at 14.42 crore (144.2 million), while the number of folios under Equity, Hybrid and Solution Oriented Schemes, wherein the maximum investment is from retail segment stood at about 11.54 crore (115.4 million).
The net AUM of debt funds for February was at Rs 12,29,659.94 crore, for equity funds it is Rs 15,01,777.53 crore and for hybrid funds it was Rs 4,87,415.
