Veteran actor Nana Patekar dies at the age of 75 years due to cardiac arrest in his flat in Goa, leaving fans and everyone shocked and sad. Patekar was a celebrated Bollywood star with his compelling and jaw-dropping performance in both main and supporting roles. He was versatile. Indians have laughed when he said "Control Uday, Control" in Welcome, to offer standing ovations in movies like Krantiveer and Yeshwant. Patekar was one of the greatest and most influential actors in the Bollywood industry, who was also bestowed with Padma Shri.

As per reports, Patekar died due to cardiac arrest. He was found unresponsive in his apartment in Goa in the early hours of Thursday and was later declared dead at 5:20 am at Manipal Hospital.
As per his son, Malhar Patekar, a medical team was sent to Nana's apartment after the old veteran complained over severe chest pain. When the team arrived, he was found unresponsive. Attempts were made to revive Nana Patekar before rushing him to the Mana Hospital.
Malhar cited that the medical team tried to revive him for about 45 minutes before their efforts went in vain and the veteran actor was declared dead at 5:20 am.
However, a post-mortem will be conducted of Nana Patekar's body, as he was not a registered patient at the hospital which was the standard procedure. Once the post-mortem is done at the Goa Medical College, his body will be handed over to the Patekar family.
Nana's wish was to be cremated in the soils of his Pune farm, so the riot will likely be conducted accordingly.
Meanwhile, a state funeral along with state full honors for Nana Patekar has been announced by Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' government for his contribution to Marathi and Hindi theaters and cinemas.
Nana Patekar, born on January 1, 1951, grew up to become one of the most celebrated artists, actors, filmmakers, and contributors to the Indian cinema industry, especially in Hindi and Marathi.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in Indian cinema, Patekar was recipient of three National Film Awards, four Filmfare Awards, two Maharashtra State Film Awards, and the Marathi Filmfare Award, respectively, for his acting performances. He was bestowed with the Padma Shri award in 2013 for his contribution in cinema and arts, as per Wikipedia.
He debuted in Bollywood through 1978 drama Gaman.

Several media reports state that Patekar's net worth ranges from Rs 50 crore to Rs 80 crore. He earned reportedly Rs 2 crore to Rs 3 crore per film.
Patekar's majority of adulthood was spent in a single-bedroom, 750-square-foot flat in Andheri, Mumbai, which was purchased at Rs 1.1 lakh decades ago. Now this same apartment is estimated to have a value of Rs 3 crore.
