Veteran actor and Padma Shri awardee Nana Patekar, one of the most distinctive faces of Hindi and Marathi cinema, died at the age of 75 on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The actor was found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa, and was rushed to Manipal Hospital. Doctors attempted to revive him for around 45 minutes, but he could not be saved. He was declared dead at around 5:20 am. Doctors cited cardiac arrest as the cause of death.
