NAV Capital Launches First India-Focused AIF Fund with Target of Rs 500 Crore for High-Growth Investments
NAV Capital, a wealth management advisory firm based in Dubai, has introduced its inaugural India-focused close-ended AIF Fund Category 2. The firm aims to gather Rs 500 crore in its initial fundraising phase. This fund will target investment opportunities in high-growth sectors and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at the pre-IPO stage. NAV Capital is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) as a category 3A entity.

The fund's strategy involves deploying the raised capital over 18 months. It plans to allocate at least 51% of the total corpus to unlisted companies, with up to 49% going into listed entities. This approach allows for a balanced investment portfolio. The fund will not limit itself to specific sectors, instead focusing on diverse areas such as banking and financial services, consumer goods and retail, chemicals and materials, technology and innovation, and infrastructure and logistics.
Investment Strategy and Sector Focus
Vineet Arora, Managing Director of NAV Capital, highlighted India's economic potential. He stated, "With India aiming to become the third largest economy in the world with an estimated GDP of USD 8.4 trillion by 2030, we see immense potential." Arora emphasized their commitment to India, noting that this fund is their first offering to resident Indians, with more initiatives planned for the future.
The fund is designed to tap into small and medium Indian businesses with significant growth prospects. It will primarily focus on pre-IPO opportunities and strategic growth capital. This aligns with NAV Capital's broader objective of supporting high-growth potential companies in India.
Future Prospects and Commitment
NAV Capital offers wealth management advisory services and has an in-house team dedicated to brokering a comprehensive range of structured products. This expertise supports their investment strategy and enhances their ability to identify promising opportunities within the Indian market.
By launching this fund, NAV Capital aims to leverage India's growing economy and support businesses poised for expansion. The firm's sector-agnostic approach ensures flexibility in identifying lucrative investments across various industries.
This initiative marks a significant step for NAV Capital as it expands its presence in India. The firm is committed to fostering growth within the Indian market through strategic investments in high-potential sectors.
