Nazara Technologies- First Mobile Gaming Company Files For IPO Launch

Nazara Technologies, the first mobile gaming company of India backed by ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala is the first company from the company to file for an IPO.
The company's product portfolio comprises several subscription kinds such as those for business, Freemium business and Esports business. And to strengthen its presence in the gaming and sport media space it even took on to acquisitions including Esports, edutainment, infotainment, fantasy sports, multiplayer games like carrom and mobile cricket games over the years.

The company owns IPs, including WCC and CarromClash in mobile games, Kiddopia in gamified early learning, NODWIN and Sportskeeda in esports and esports media, and Halaplay and Qunami in skill-based, fantasy and trivia games.

There are other stakeholder in the firm such as Plutus Wealth Management, IIFL Special Opportunities Fund, Turtle Entertainment are other key investors. For its IPO, the company received approval from the market watchdog in 2018.

Earlier this month, Plutus Wealth Management LLP and its associates acquired shares worth over ₹500 crore of the company from WestBridge.

Founded by gamer Nitish Mittersain in 2000, Nazara is one of the leading interactive gaming and sports media companies in India and has in its portfolio games on World Cricket Championship and Chhota Bheem and Motu Patlu series.
