NDTV Gets Nod For 4 New Regional Channels, Stock Jumps Over 3%

Adani Group's firm New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) gets the nod for 4 new regional current affairs channels from The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting dated Aug 17, 2023. These 4 new channels namely are 'NDTV Rajasthan', 'NDTV Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh', 'NDTV Gujarati' and 'NDTV Marathi.'

Furtehr, the company shall launch 'NDTV Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh' next week on Aug 21, 2023, the company said in the filing.

According to the filing by NDTV, "The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting vide letter dated August 17, 2023 has granted permission to the Company to uplink and downlink four (4) News and Current Affairs Channels namely 'NDTV Rajasthan', 'NDTV Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh', 'NDTV Gujarati' and 'NDTV Marathi.'

Moreover, "The Company shall launch the channel namely 'NDTV Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh' on August 21, 2023. The launch date for the other channels shall be duly intimated once finalized."

Shares of NDTV On Friday opened at Rs 220.85 per share on BSE, currently trading at Rs 225.20 per share, up 1.90% up from its previous close of Rs 221 per share. Its 52-week high is Rs 567.85 and 52-week low is Rs 167.05.
