NDTV To Launch New Channel NDTV Rajasthan On Sept 5, 2023

Adani Group's media arm, New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) shall launch its new regional channel namely NDTV Rajasthan on Sept 5, 2023.

"In furtherance to our disclosure dated August 17, 2023, we wish to inform you that the Company shall launch its new channel namely NDTV Rajasthan on September 5, 2023," the company said in a filing to stock exchanges.

NDTV Rajasthan is the second new channel by NDTV after NDTV Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh which was launched on Aug 21, 2023. On August 17, 2023, the company announced that it got the nod for 4 new regional current affairs channels from The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.

"The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting vide letter dated August 17, 2023 has granted permission to the Company to uplink and downlink four (4) News and Current Affairs Channels namely 'NDTV Rajasthan', 'NDTV Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh', 'NDTV Gujarati' and 'NDTV Marathi. The Company shall launch the channel namely 'NDTV Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh' on August 21, 2023. The launch date for the other channels shall be duly intimated once finalized," the company said in a filing on August 17.

NDTV's shares on Friday closed at Rs 220.85 per share on BSE, down 1.38% from its previous close of Rs 223.95 per share.

The stock declined 1.67% in the past 1 week. It declined 45.29% in the past 1 year. Whereas, it gained 102.71% and 505.90% strong returns in the past 2 and 3 years, respectively. In 5 years, it has given 497.70% positive return.

It recorded the 52-week high on Sept 06, 2022, at Rs 567.85 and the 52-week low on Mar 29, 2023, at Rs 167.05. NDTV's market cap as of Friday is Rs 1,423.85 Crore.
