Net Inflows Continues To Fall Sharply Into Equity Mutual Funds

The past few months have witnessed a sharp fall in the net inflow of equity mutual funds. It might result from a fall in the markets in the starting months of the year. However, the markets have shown rapid recovery from July in the past few weeks. Irrespective of the market, net inflow into equity mutual funds continues to fall sharply.

As per the data of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), in the year 2022, the equity funds in India witnessed a net inflow of Rs. 15 497.76 crores in June, and from June, it nearly halfed to Rs. 8,882.6 crores in July, and this month on August 22, the net inflow in equity mutual funds in down to Rs. 5,942 crores.

The net inflows have continued their downtrend from the past few weeks and made a ten-month low on August 22; however, the other kinds of mutual funds remain on their previous trend.
