Apple has introduced its latest Mac mini lineup in India, bringing the new M6 chip and the more powerful M5 Pro option to its compact desktop range. The company is focusing heavily on on-device artificial intelligence, faster graphics and improved connectivity, while keeping the Mac mini in its small desktop format.

New Mac mini Price in India: Check M6, M5 Pro Models Rate

The new Mac mini with M6 starts at Rs 39,990 in India, while the M5 Pro version starts at Rs 2,09,900. Apple has also announced education pricing of Rs 35,490 for the M6 model and Rs 1,97,900 for the M5 Pro variant.

Note: Apple's official India release lists the M6 starting price as Rs 39,990, not Rs 99,900. The Rs 99,900 figure in the supplied copy appears to be incorrect.

Pre-orders opened on August 25, and the new Mac mini will start reaching customers and Apple stores from September 22, 2026.

Mac mini M6 Brings 4x Faster AI Performance, Up to 2x Graphics Boost: Check Specs and Features

The M6 model is designed for users who want a compact computer for office work, coding, creative applications and artificial intelligence tasks. Apple says the new chip can deliver up to four times faster AI performance and up to twice the graphics performance compared with the previous M4-powered Mac mini.

The M6 comes with a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU. Apple has also added Neural Accelerators to every GPU core, while the system includes a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. The standard model has 16GB of unified memory, which can be configured up to 32GB.

Apple has highlighted local AI as one of the major uses for the new Mac mini. Users can run certain AI models directly on the computer instead of relying entirely on cloud-based services. This could be useful for developers, creators and businesses handling data that they prefer to keep on their own systems.

Mac mini M5 Pro Packs 18-Core CPU, 20-Core GPU and 64GB RAM: Built for Pro Users

The M5 Pro version is aimed at users with more demanding workloads. It can be configured with up to an 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU and 64GB of unified memory.

Apple says the higher-end model is designed for tasks such as app development, video production, 3D work, scientific simulations and game development. It also offers up to 307GB/s of memory bandwidth, which can help when handling large datasets, complex graphics and demanding local AI workloads.

Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 5 and Faster Connectivity

Connectivity has received a major upgrade as well. Both versions support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and 2.5Gb Ethernet, while buyers can configure 10Gb Ethernet.

The M6 Mac mini comes with three Thunderbolt 4 ports. The M5 Pro model gets three Thunderbolt 5 ports. Apple says Thunderbolt 5 can also be used to connect multiple Mac mini systems for running larger AI models locally.
