Nifty Ends Above 13050 On Back Of Gains In Bank, Auto, Realty Stocks
It was another strong day of trade for the indices with the Nifty hitting above 13000 mark for the first ever time. And at the close also it recovered it day's losses with Nifty closing at 13055, up 128.7 or 1% while Sensex stood strong by 445.87 points at 44523..In intra-day Nifty made an high of 13059.
Gainer's in today's trade are Adani Ports, M&M, Axis Bank, Hindalco and Eicher Motors. While losers have been Titan Company, Shree Cements, HDFC, Bharti Airtel and BPCL.
Realty stocks also got a good push of close to 2% on Nifty Realty after the state of Maharashtra proposed reduction in Floor Space Index.
In today's HDFC Bank hit a fresh 52-week high as CLSA raised its target price. Meanwhile Bank Nifty as a whole was buzzing in trade with gains of up to 2.42 percent towards the later part of the trade. Similar was the optimism in auto space with major gainers being M&M which also made its new 52-week high. Eicher Motors also hit its 52-week high in trade today.
Gland Pharma though have been trading weak after superb gains of 45 percent since listing on Friday.
Meanwhile European markets were trading in the green with French CAC up by over 1 percent following strong global cues. Also US stock futures Dow was up by as much as 0.86 percent pointing to a high opening for the markets there.
