Nifty Gains To 15,882.20 Points, Sensex Turns Green Sharply

On July 6, Nifty 50 opened at 15,818.20 points and Sensex opened at 53,170.70 points. Till 10. 14 am today, Nifty gained by 0.43%, and Sensex gained by 0.48%. Nifty FMCG surged by 0.80%, Nifty Metal fell by 1.93%, Nifty Pharma surged by 0.64%, and Nifty IT gained by 0.38% today. Additionally, Nifty PSU Bank surged by 0.25% gain, Nifty Private Bank gained by 0.61%, Nifty energy fell by 0.95%. GTL Infrastructure Ltd., ONGC, Idea are the three top active stocks today.

Top 5 stocks to reach 52-week high level on NSE are Blue Dart Express Limited gained by 2.09%, Dangee Dums Limited with a 5.84% intra day gain, Global Education Limited with 4.99% fall, Hubtown Limited with 3.61% fall, and ICICI Prudential Nifty 5 Yr Benchmark G-SEC ETF with a 2.98% gain today. Additionally, Voltamp Transformers Limited also gained by 5.42% today to reach a fresh 52-week high.

Indian indices as depicted by the SGX Nifty which is seen higher marginally may open in the green. But whether or not the gains shall sustain through the day is difficult to foretell. This is as most Asian markets together with US stock futures are trading weak. As we write, Japan's Nikkei is trading weak by over a percent.
