Nifty Mid-Cap And Nifty Small Cap Index To See Exclusion And Inclusion Of These Stocks

From NSE indices rejig that is due on June 26, the Index Maintenance Sub-Committee (IMSC) of NSE Indices has taken a decision to substitute 12 stocks in the Nifty Midcap 100 and 15 stocks in Nifty Smallcap index.

In accordance to the method for bringing about such a change all of the stocks from Nifty Midcap 50 will be made part of the Midcap index. "Remaining companies are selected based on average daily turnover from Nifty Midcap 150 index."

8. L&T Finance Holdings
9. NIIT Technologies

And simultaneously the companies that shall be removed from Nifty Midcap 100 are:

2. Future Consumer
3. Graphite India
4. HEG
5. Indian Bank
6. Indraprastha Gas
7. Info Edge
8. Muthoot Finance
9. NBCC (India)
10. Sterlite Technologies,
11. Torrent Pharmaceuticals

All companies from Nifty small cap 50 index are included and the "Remaining companies are selected based on average daily turnover from the top 150 companies selected based on full market capitalisation from Nifty Smallcap 250 index."
