Nifty & Sensex Closes Red As US Dollar Index Reached 52-Week High, INR At Record Low

On July 5, the Nifty 50 closed at 15,810.85 points falling by 0.15% and the Sensex closed at 53,134.35 points, falling by 0.19%, as the US Dollar index reached a fresh 52-week high level at 106.24. Against INR also reached a fresh low of 79.15. Expecting major FII outflow from the Indian stock markets, Nifty and Sensex closed bearish today. Nifty FMCG fell by 0.16%, Nifty Metal surged by 0.30%, Nifty Pharma surged by 0.13%, and Nifty IT fell sharply by 0.70% today. However, Nifty PSU Bank fell by 0.01% gain, Nifty Private Bank fell by 0.43%, Nifty energy surged by 0.63%, while Nifty oil and gas gained by 0.10% today. Idea, ZOMATO, and SUZLON were the three top active stocks today.

 
Nifty & Sensex Closes Red As US Dollar Index Reached 52-Week High

Top 5 Nifty 50 gainers are Shree Cement with 1.72% gain, Power Grid with 1.42% gain, Bajaj Finserv with 1.24% gain, Hindustan Unilever with 1.13% gain, and ONGC with 1.11% gain. Additionally Apollo Hospitals has also surged by 1.11% today. The share price of Hindustan Unilever has gained by 6.09% in the last 5 days. However, top 5 losers are HDFC Life with a 1.81% fall, ITC with a 1.76% fall, Wipro with a 1.45% fall, Maruti with a 1.23% fall, and Britannia with a 1.09% fall.

 

The top 5 stocks to reach 52-week high level on NSE are Akshar Spintex Limited fell by 0.60%, Automotive Axles Limited with a 1.91% intra day fall, Choice International Limited with 1.70% fall, Edelweiss Mutual Fund - BHARAT Bond ETF - April 2031 with 0.19% surge, and Fiem Industries Limited with a 3.44% gain today. Additionally, Hubtown Limited also gained by 4.99% today to reach a fresh 52-week high.
