Nifty & Sensex Trading Marginally Higher Today, Nifty Stands At 17,646.75

Indian benchmark indexes, Nifty and Sensex are marginally up today, on September 5. The Nifty 50 stood at 17,646.75 points up 0.61%, and Sensex stood at 59,205.12 points up 0.68%, at the time of writing. Today, banking stocks are performing well in the stock markets. The stock price of Bank of Baroda, Federal Bank, Karur Vysya Bank Limited, and Ujjivan Financial Services hit fresh 52-week high levels. ICICI Bank, SBI, Kotak Bank, and HDFC Bank are top gainers on NSE. Major indexes like Nifty PSU Bank up by 1.01%, Nifty Private Bank is up by 1.01%.

Meanwhile, Asian stock markets are also trading lower. Nikkei stood at 27,619.61 points down by 0.11%, while Kospi stood at 2,404.75 points down by 0.19%, and Hang Seng Index stood at 19,203.85 points falling sharply by 1.28%. On the other hand, S&P 500 was down by 1.07%, while Nasdaq Composite was down 1.31%, till last traded on Sept. 2.

Nifty IT is up marginally by 0.68%, Nifty energy is up by 0.66%. Share price of ONGC surged by 0.41%, stood at Rs. 133.30, Oil India Limited surged by 1.18%, stood at Rs. 193, at the mid trading hours.

Hindalco, JSW Steel, Reliance, Tata Steel, NTPC, ITC, Titan, Airtel, Shree Cement, and Cipla are some of the top gainers today. However, Bajaj Auto, Asian Paints, Wipro are some of the top losers today on NSE.

Additionally, Gabriel India Limited, ITC, TVS Motors also hit fresh 52-week high-level today.
