Nippon India Mutual Fund Unveils Taiwan Equity Fund; Check Details

The asset manager of the Nippon India Mutual Fund (NIMF), Nippon Life India Asset Management (NAM India), has announced the launch of the Nippon India Taiwan Equity Fund on November 22, 2021. The Fund will be India's first open-ended equity fund with a Taiwanese emphasis.

Cathay SITE, Taiwan's largest asset manager with $42.8 billion in AUM, will advise this fund. According to Nippon MF, it is also the largest segregated account manager for Taiwan public pensions in the Taiwan equity market.

Nippon India Taiwan Equity Fund's principal investment objective is to offer long-term capital appreciation to investors by investing primarily in equity securities listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

It will invest in a Multi Cap approach, with a portfolio that includes both growth and value stocks. The fund will concentrate on new technology trends and will invest less than 10% of its assets in a single stock.

On November 22, 2021, the NFO will open for subscriptions and close on December 6, 2021. Taiwan Capitalization Weighted Stock Index is the fund's benchmark index (TAIEX). The minimum investment is 500, with further investments in multiples of Re 1. Kinjal Desai will be in charge of the fund (Dedicated Fund Manager for Overseas Investments)
