In the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung, which has caused widespread devastation in Chennai and its neighboring districts, state-run NLC India has stepped forward to assist in the flood relief efforts. The company has sent 16 high-capacity pumps, which are typically used in its lignite mines, to help drain water from inundated areas in the city.

To support the efforts of the Chennai Corporation in managing the flood situation, NLC India has deployed 16 high-capacity pumps, along with the required engineers and technicians, to assist in draining water from the affected areas. These powerful pumps, which are used in the company's lignite mines, are capable of pumping out stagnant water quickly and efficiently, helping to restore normalcy in the waterlogged areas.
