The EPFO, the retirement fund managing body, on Monday launched a multi-location claim settlement facility. This move will enable claim settlement from any of the organization's regional offices across the country.

Further as per the report, online claims that include PF, pension, transfer claims as well as partial withdrawal shall be processed as part of this initiative.

The process will help in cutting down on delays by distributing claim settlement work uniformly across the nation. So, with this the EPFO has moved away from geographical jurisdiction.

Despite the halt in activity during the Covid 19 led lockdown, the organization has processed over 80000 claims worth Rs. 270 crore per working day since April 1.
