NSDL e-Gov Terminates Agreement With Alankit For PAN And TIN Facilitation
NSDL e-Governance that has laid a pivotal role in framing the e-governance infrastructure on Friday announced that it has terminated its agreement with Alankit as a PAN and Tax Information Network facilitator (TIN FC) centre. In an official statement, NSDL said Alankit Ltd. is no longer a facilitation centre service provider forNSDL e-Gov and cannot provide services on its behalf for accepting and processing PAN applications, e-TDS/e-TCS Statements etc.
The action was taken as the firm did not remitted the PAN or TDS filing fees collected from applicants to to NSDL e-Gov.
And in a case when users want to apply for a new PAN or incorporate changes in it you need to visit the organisations's any of the 17209 centres or can avail the facility online on www.tin-nsdl.com.
Also, e-TDS or e-TCS statement filer can go and file their statements or returns via any of the 4142 centres across the country.

The service centres of the organization provide a access point to people in general.
Meanwhile, the department of income tax has begun to take PAN applications on the e-filing portal and those with Aadhaar can get it in 10 minutes and that too for free.
