World's largest AI, Nvidia sees great opportunity in India's ecosystem and believes that the country will be an exporter of artificial intelligence. Accordingly, Nvidia has tapped into a slew of Indian companies to enhance growth. On Thursday, October 24, 2024, Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang called India as dear to the world's computer industry and will record 20x growth in computing capacities in 2024.

India is very, very dear to the world's computer industry, central to the IT industry, at the centre and core of the IT of just about every single company in the world, said Huang, as per a PTI report.

Huang added that Nvidia's ecosystem in India is very rich, and in the current year, the country will see a 20 times growth in computing capacities.

Furthermore, Huang explained that India is going through a "seismic change". And the country which has traditionally been a hub for software exportation, Huang reportedly said that it is poised to become a leader in AI exportation in the future.

That being said, Nvidia's CEO further announced that they have partnered with a host of Indian giants such as Reliance Industries, Tech Mahindra, Tata Communications, and Wipro among others. The move is to deepen the key growth market.

With Reliance, the largest company in India in terms of market cap, Nvidia has joined hands in developing infrastructure for AI applications in India. While Mahindra Group-backed Tech Mahindra is likely to use Nvidia's chips and software for its AI model in Hindi, Indus 2.0.

Additionally, Tata Group-led telecom company, Tata Communications and Yotta Data Services are mulling to purchase and utilize tens of thousands of Nvidia H100 chips by 2024-end.

Notably, Information technology giants including Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Wipro are teaming with NVIDIA to accelerate AI adoption. They're creating new jobs and training nearly half a million developers for the era of AI, as per the main statement.

"In the coming years, IT service investments will be driven by interest in gen AI," said Harish Krishnakumar, senior market analyst of IT Services at IDC India. "Enterprises will continue engaging with IT service providers to develop potential use cases and POCs and also to transform and manage their complex IT infrastructure and applications."

Also, Nvidia's statement said, IT is a leading Indian export, and IDC reports that the Indian domestic IT & Business Services market was valued at $14.5 billion in 2023. Now, India's technology leaders are taking on an expanded role as the industry shifts from providing IT services to consulting with global clients to meet the demand for front-office AI applications.
