The RSUs were calculated based on an average share price of USD 898.2 (approximately Rs 75,000 per share), and are structured to vest over a four-year period. The vesting schedule began with 6.25% on September 18, 2024, with the remaining shares set to vest in equal quarterly instalments through 2028. This staggered payout ensures long-term financial stability and retention.

Stock-based compensation has become a key component of employee earnings at Nvidia India. In one example, a mid-level solutions architecture professional at the IC2 level received eight additional RSUs under the special grant, valued at approximately Rs 5.3 lakh. As of April last year, the same employee held 156 unvested RSUs, with a total value exceeding Rs 1.2 crore. This highlights how equity payouts are significantly contributing to long-term wealth creation for employees.

At the senior-most level, IC6 engineers are among the top earners. Software engineers in this category receive an average annual compensation of around Rs 1.8 crore, with top performers earning close to Rs 1.9 crore.
