Odisha industrial investment: CM Majhi visits Khurda defence and garments facilities

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited two Khurda facilities—a Trimetro garments unit of EPIC Group and Anadrone Systems Pvt Ltd’s defence manufacturing site. He reviewed production, observed demonstrations of defence equipment, and assured promoters of full administrative support. Majhi also urged skill development and priority for local employment in Odisha’s industrial areas.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday toured two industrial units in Khurda. Mohan Charan Majhi met workers and checked production on site. Mohan Charan Majhi also promised the promoters full administrative backing. The visit covered a defence manufacturing facility and a garments unit, both operating in the district.

CM Majhi visits Khurda units

Mohan Charan Majhi visited the Mundamba Industrial Park facility of Anadrone Systems Pvt Ltd. Mohan Charan Majhi also toured the Trimetro garments manufacturing unit of EPIC Group. Officials said the garments facility began within a year of the groundbreaking. The garments unit involved an investment of about Rs 376 crore.

At the Khorda defence unit, Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed operations and observed live demonstrations. The equipment included aerial targets, target launchers and trailers. The display also featured ground support equipment and ground stations. The statement said these systems are being fabricated at the Khorda facility. The defence unit was set up with an investment of Rs 96.86 crore.

During interactions with employees, Mohan Charan Majhi stressed support facilities in the industrial area. Mohan Charan Majhi asked management to focus on skill development for Odisha’s youth. Mohan Charan Majhi also called for maximum priority for local employment. These points were shared in a statement from the chief minister’s office.

The statement said modern hostels will be built for employee accommodation. It also said EV bus services will support daily commuting. The aim is to keep travel easy, safe and environment-friendly. Mohan Charan Majhi also reassured promoters about support for current work. Mohan Charan Majhi mentioned help for future expansion plans in Odisha.

The CM said that talented youth from Odisha will no longer have to leave their families and homeland to work as ordinary laborers in other states.This conducive environment for industrialization in the state will give a new impetus to the local economy, Majhi was quoted as saying in the statement.
