Officer On Duty Box: Is Kunchacko Boban's Starrer Most Profitable 2025 Mollywood Film? OTT Premier On March 20

Officer On Duty Box Office Collection: The Malayalam crime thriller, starring Kunchacko Boban, has received impressive response from fans as the movie touched Rs 30 crore mark on Day 26 in India net. The South Indian film is also in the top three most profitable films of 2025 in Mollywood. The film's worldwide gross collection has touched Rs 50 crore club as well.

Officer On Duty Box Office Collection:

According to reports, on Day 26, the Officer on Duty collected Rs 18 lakh, down 68% from the Rs 58 lakh collected the previous day. This brings the total India net collection to over Rs 30 crore.

Despite the latest drop in the collection, Office On Duty has recorded 150.6% gains on its budget of Rs 12 crore. From its worldwide gross collection of Rs 50 crore, the gains are about 316.6%.

As per Koimoi, the film is mounted at a scale of 10 crores. With its current India net collection of 30.08 crores, the ROI (Return On Investment) of Officer On Duty comes to 20.08 crores.

Koimoi's report also added that this results in the ROI percentage of the Kunchacko Boban starrer being around 200.8%. Despite being the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025, Officer On Duty remains the third most profitable Mollywood film of 2025. Rekhachithram and Ponman occupy the first and second positions, respectively.

Directed by Jithu Ashraf (in his directorial debut) and written by Shahi Kabir, the movie so far has received a positive response from both critics and movie lovers.

Harishankar alias Hari is a very strict and hot-headed police officer (DYSP), recently demoted to the post of CI, he receives a complaint about a man named Chandrababu trying to mortgage an imitation gold chain. This leads him to investigate a series of gruesome crimes that are even connected to his own past personal tragedy. It is revealed that Christy is the mastermind behind this event and warns Harishankar to drop this case. The movie is also debuting on the OTT platform as the movie was acquired by Netflix. The OTT premier is expected from March 20 in several languages such as Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.

Netflix India South confirmed on its X handler that the Officer On Duty will be released on March 20, and it can be watched in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada!

Hence, the movie will be available on Netflix.
