2025 Pahalgam Terror Attack:

The attack occurred on April 22, at the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam, Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir, where terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists, killing at least 28 people while injuring over 20 people, as per reports. The terrorist group is affiliated to be a shadow terrorist group under the Pakistan-based so-called Lashkar-e-Taiba. This offshoot terrorist group is called The Resistance Front (TRF).

As per reports, at around 2:50 PM of April 22nd, 4 to 6 terrorists dashed into the hot tourist spot of Baisaran meadow, where tens and hundreds of tourists were sightseeing and enjoying nice weather. The majority of the victims were males.

Baisaran Valley, barely 5 kilometres from Pahalgam in Kashmir's Anantnag district, is a popular tourist attraction that has been dubbed "mini-Switzerland" due to its scenic splendour, as per Wikipedia, while Pahalgam is one of the most important sites for Hindus. Hence, the entire region is reportedly a famous tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir.

After the attack, a large number of people from the Muslim community and others took to the streets to protest against Pakistan over their heinous attack. However, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has emphasized that their country has no link with the Pahalgam attack.

Currently, the Pahalgam terror attack has shaken India to its core, as it is the deadliest since the 2019 Pulwama bombing, which also targeted civilians.
