Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a significant journey to Saudi Arabia this Sunday, where he will participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) and engage in pivotal bilateral meetings with global leaders. Accompanying the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will attend this crucial gathering, following an invitation from Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and WEF founder and Chief Executive Professor Klaus Schwab. This was confirmed by Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch during a weekly briefing.

The spokesperson emphasized the forum's significance as a platform for Pakistan to outline its priorities, notably in enhancing global health infrastructure, fostering inclusive growth, rejuvenating regional cooperation, and addressing the balance between economic growth and energy consumption.

In addition to the forum, Sharif and Dar are slated for bilateral discussions with various world leaders, heads of international organizations, and other prominent figures. These meetings are expected to further Pakistan's diplomatic and economic interests on the global stage.

Moreover, discussions between Prime Minister Sharif and the Saudi Crown Prince are anticipated to focus on Saudi investments in Pakistan, with both parties expected to finalize an agreement to this effect.

Following his commitments in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Sharif will proceed to Banjul, Gambia, to participate in the 15th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit on May 4-5. This summit comes at a crucial juncture for the Muslim community amid ongoing conflicts affecting Gaza. The OIC summit aims to address these pressing issues and foster unity among member states.

This series of engagements underscores Pakistan's active role on the international stage, seeking to bolster its diplomatic ties and economic prospects through high-level participation in global forums and summits.
