Passenger Vehicle Sales See An Up Tick Of 26% In Sept
Passenger Vehicle sales have seen an uptick in the month of Sept 2020, with 272,027 units being sold compared to 215,124 units in September 2019, thus showing a growth of 26.45%.
Three-wheeler sales, however saw 18,640 units sold in September 2020 compared to 66,362 units in September 2019 marking a decrease by a whopping -71.91%, according to data provided by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.

Two-wheeler likes passenger car sales did well and saw 1,849,546 units being sold in September 2020, compared to 1,656,658 units in September 2019, with a growth of 11.64%.
Manufacturers and dealers are hoping for a better performance in the month of October and November, which is largely considered the peak of the festive season. Most manufacturers have had a few quarters that were bad, thanks to the covid-19 induced lockdown.
Dealers and manufacturers are also banking on the low interest rates that are currently prevailing in the economy.
